      <title>Uncertain Future Interview at halflife-mods.com</title>
      <link>http://ufmod.cpaulv.com/modules.php?name=ForumNews&amp;id=19</link>
<description>Quasar: Thank you for doing this interview with HalfLife-Mods.com. Please introduce yourself, and tell us more about your role in the development of the MOD?
Cpaulv: Well i'm the leader of the mod team, i also will be doing coding, sounds, story writing, concept art, and some voices. My name is Cpaulv as most call me, my real name is Chris. Of course i oversee everything that goes on.

Quasar: Have you worked on any games or Mods in the past, if so which ones?
Cpaulv: I have worked on some in the past but they failed cause of lack of time and lack of members. One of them was called Boundless Entity, which was for Half-Life.

Quasar: What made you want to make this MOD?
Cpaulv: Well i was coming home from vacation and I was just doing some thinking and the idea came into my mind to do a mod, at first i was like this would be a great mod, but i don't have the time to do it, but then i told it to a friend of mine and he said i should do it so i did, now my original idea has been scraped by a better idea that i helped to make along with some other members of the mod team.

Quasar: What is the general storyline of the MOD, I know you are still working on it but can you give us a little taste of it.
Cpaulv: The lead character is experiencing flashbacks and weird visions of things he can't remember. After a time, it seems that these hallucinations did infact happen, and to him, but the memory of the events is not there. One man stands out, and you decide to track him down... There is some to play before and after that, but to keep from spoiling too much, we're keeping it under wraps. Its one hell of a story and definately should have the immersion factor.

Quasar: What type, and how many weapons are you going to be making?
Cpaulv: At the moment we are just looking at what the engine can handle and what would seem fit for the mod, but we are looking at a fair range.

Quasar: Is your Mod going to be a single player, mulit-player or both?
Cpaulv: Our mod is going to be Singleplayer and multiplayer. We are unsure yet if we will send one part out firs then the other one or both at the same time.

Quasar: With so many Half-Life 2 mods already out there how will you make yours shine??
Cpaulv: Through the most immersive storyline we can possibly hope to ever create. If we fulfill our plans, nobody will ever want to leave the game, infact, they'll probably start answering to the main character's name.

Quasar: At what date do you expect to release some more media?
Cpaulv: Well at the moment we have some in beta stage, but since we don't have the SDK right now we don't know exactly how detailed we can make them or other things to them, but i should be getting the SDK soon.

Quasar: After you get the SDK, how long do you expect till the first playable version will be released?
Cpaulv: thats kinda hard to say, it all depends how hard the team works, how many or how little bugs or problems we encounter, most mods take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years or more, we don't want to make it too long but we won't cut corners just to please a few ppl who can't wait.

Quasar: What is your favorite Half-Life mod or Half-Life 2 concept besides your own?
Cpaulv: My favorite would have to be Natural Selection, i love that mod, its quite fun to play.

Quasar: Is your development team hiring people? If so, is there anyway to contact you?
Cpaulv: well there are a couple ways to contact me, first is on the site, right now since the site is being redesigned and should be ready soon we have no recruitment area but will have soon, but until there is you can signup at the site and post on the forums, or an easier way is to e-mail me at cpaulv@cpaulv.com either way is good.

Quasar: Anything else you would like to tell the fans of Uncertain Future?
Cpaulv: Life is too short to work, thats why god created games. Tantalus adds: Watch the skies! Eat your greens, and watch this space...

Quasar: Thanks for taking the time for a HalfLife-Mods.com exclusive interview. We would like to wish you and your development team the best of luck.
Cpaulv: It was a pleasure doing this interview.</description>
