New Site for Uncertain Future.

UF News Cpaulv">Cpaulv writes "Yes, we now have a brand new site up and working, and yes most people thought this mod was dead but I've got news for you, its not. Most of the team isn't around much anymore but the main core members are still around except for 1 which is still MIA. But now that we have a site back up things should start to move again and we will start to recruit some new team members soon."

Uncertain Future Story

Spreading hundreds of miles across the now concrete surface of Earth lays a vast, vast metropolis. Billions of people walking and driving around, with little to no respect for each other, seeming more like zombies than human; each one of them no more then a dot in comparison to the buildings that tower inside the clouds of smog. Dead in the center of what used to be Mexico stood the largest of the large; a concrete and steel giant, reaching higher and higher up into the stratosphere, belittling all other marvels of the planet.

Deep inside this giant of steel and concert lays a void, a room filled with blackness, a room with out light, with out stimulation of any kind, created specifically for the purpose of containing an experiment, who’s nearly invisible body lay shivering in a tight ball on the floor of his void. Thirsty and hungry, yet not knowing what these things were, he began to cry. Pawing at his eyes to hide his tears, knowing the reproductions of this act would be, knowing that it would be as it always would. He wished the song would come back; it used to always come when he cried. He didn’t know what it meant, who was singing it, nor did he understand it. But it comforted him, made him feel safe, always allowed him to fall asleep no matter how bad the pain got. The voice that sang was always so sweet, so warm. The hot water flowed from his tightly shut eyes freely now, struggling against it seemed to make it only worse.

Uncertain Future Interview at halflife-mods.com

UF News Cpaulv">Cpaulv writes "Quasar: Thank you for doing this interview with HalfLife-Mods.com. Please introduce yourself, and tell us more about your role in the development of the MOD?
Cpaulv: Well i'm the leader of the mod team, i also will be doing coding, sounds, story writing, concept art, and some voices. My name is Cpaulv as most call me, my real name is Chris. Of course i oversee everything that goes on.

Quasar: Have you worked on any games or Mods in the past, if so which ones?
Cpaulv: I have worked on some in the past but they failed cause of lack of time and lack of members. One of them was called Boundless Entity, which was for Half-Life.

Quasar: What made you want to make this MOD?
Cpaulv: Well i was coming home from vacation and I was just doing some thinking and the idea came into my mind to do a mod, at first i was like this would be a great mod, but i don't have the time to do it, but then i told it to a friend of mine and he said i should do it so i did, now my original idea has been scraped by a better idea that i helped to make along with some other members of the mod team.

Quasar: What is the general storyline of the MOD, I know you are still working on it but can you give us a little taste of it.
Cpaulv: The lead character is experiencing flashbacks and weird visions of things he can't remember. After a time, it seems that these hallucinations did infact happen, and to him, but the memory of the events is not there. One man stands out, and you decide to track him down...."

New Changes soon to be made.

UF News Cpaulv">Cpaulv writes "Hey everyone, soon there will be some changes, first i have to talk about the site, its being redone and with some new features you'll see the new site design in the next couple days, also now to talk about the mod, it has been totally changed around, we scrapped the old idea and went for the new one that some of the mod members (including myself) talked for hours about it, we will have a story for you guys soon as well as a list of features we will have in the mod. This mod is going to be great and fun for all."

Uncertain Future mod updates.

UF News Cpaulv">Cpaulv writes "The story is almost complete and some of the mapping and models are being started, concept art is being worked on and we have been discussing some good ideas for AI and such, including a built in bot. One thing we are trying to do is encorporate a built in thing that will try to stop or slow down cheating and hacking, something like what hlguard tried to do...and did a pretty good job at it too. Our IRC channel is #UncertainFuture on the gamesnet server."
